The concept of the Project try to consolidate a city landmark, reconfiguration and integration different systems of the public space, roads and ecological structure based on the urban conditions of the city of Torrevieja.
As a result, an urban structure is designed that allows continuity from the Paseo Juan Aparicio to Paseo Vistalegre, extending the routes, recovering an underused space providing it with a leisure offer that qualifies these walks.
The equipment is designed as an elevated platform-structure that allows this connection, but which also generates new public spaces, always based on an attitude of respect for pre-existing architectural structures rooted in the collective memory of the population.
The objective of this structure is to support and to act as a guide for the program of proposed spaces and activities, generating a spatial organization, appropriate to a contemporary society, city and economy.
The building consists of a large elevated walkway that, in a sinuous way, envelops and connects the volumes that receive the proposed leisure program, freeing up the ground floor and removing the urban barriers that disconnect Torrevieja from the sea.
It is considered that, through the reconfiguration of the new public space and the construction of this new facility, not only is the city's tourist and leisure offer expanded, but that citizens are provided with a new urban space to feel, live and enjoy, allowing the cohesion between the city and the sea.
